32-year-old female presented with caries on tooth #13. Caries removal was completed and the tooth was re-evaluated. During excavation, a pinpoint pulp exposure occurred. The tooth was medicated and sealed with IRM as an interim restoration and the patient was scheduled to return for definitive endodontic treatment.
At the subsequent appointment, root canal therapy was completed on tooth #13 without complication. The procedure was uneventful and the canals were cleaned, shaped, and obturated successfully. Following endodontic treatment, the tooth was restored with a zirconia crown to re-establish function and structural integrity.
The patient will continue with comprehensive treatment planning, including fabrication of a removable partial denture (RPD) to restore the remaining missing dentition.
