Crown #7-10 & Maxillary RPD

Project type

Removable Prosthetics

Date

2025

A 62-year-old female presented with a partially edentulous maxilla, missing teeth #1, 2, 4, 10, 12, 13, and 15. The patient’s primary concerns included restoration of function and maintaining a natural anterior appearance due to the demands of her professional career.

Comprehensive treatment planning included full-coverage restorations on teeth #7–10 to restore esthetics, structural integrity, and provide proper support for the definitive prosthetic plan. Following tooth preparation and impression capture, crowns were fabricated to optimize shade match, contour, and occlusal harmony within the anterior segment.

Replacement of the missing teeth was accomplished with a removable partial denture (RPD), designed to restore function and distribute occlusal forces appropriately while maintaining patient comfort. During the fabrication phase of the RPD, an interim Essix retainer was provided to temporarily replace tooth #10, addressing the patient’s esthetic concerns and allowing her to maintain confidence in social and professional settings.

At delivery, the definitive restorations and RPD demonstrated appropriate fit, esthetics, and function. The patient reported satisfaction with the appearance of the anterior restorations and improved masticatory ability.
