Abnormal Anatomy #30 RCT

Patient initially presented for a PFM crown on tooth #30. Following tooth preparation, the patient reported pain and increased sensitivity to percussion and cold testing. Symptoms persisted after placement of the definitive crown. Based on clinical findings and patient-reported symptoms, endodontic therapy was indicated.

Due to the presence of the recently placed crown, a nontraditional access opening was performed without reliance on conventional anatomic landmarks. Root canal therapy was completed uneventfully. Total procedure time was approximately 1.5 hours from administration of anesthesia to placement of the core buildup and re-temporization of the definitive crown.
